‘Fear in the Indian Ocean’ is a 40-minute documentary produced by Jon Cuesta and Borja Beriain. The work started in 2009 and ended in 2011 and deals with the security facing ships from Spain and other countries that fish in the Indian Ocean due to the growing threat of Somali pirates.

The documentary produced in Seychelles, Kenya, Somalia and Spain, tries to look at the problem from various angles. We deal with such issues as the legitimacy of fish trawlers, the chaotic situation of Somalia, a county in war, the working and lack of protocol by private security guards aboard the ships and legal lacunas in the arrest and legal processing of the pirates.
